Hi there!

I mentioned in my previous post something about our next release scheduled for the end of the month, remember? Well, surprise! We are ahead of time and it is already here.

As promised, we are starting the New 2008 Year with big news.

Expecting that you will be delighted by our Customer Care, we finally have released the functionalities you care about the most. Some much wanted features are part of the latest ProjectOffice.net update:

1. Gantt chart view:

Oh yes, it’s finally here!

Check it out on the image!

All tasks in a specific project, visually presented, provides easy coordination of the task activities and simple and smooth planning and task tracking .

Take a closer look:

There are some functionalities which you can’t see on the first sight but are available in the Gantt chart view. The following tip-offs are on hand:
  • Right click on the heather of the tasks sheet and the Insert, Hide and Sort columns option appears. Arrange your view as you wish to show.
  • Get a preview of actual task bar in the Gantt chart by clicking on the specific task name. The Gantt chart takes you to the task bar which has been selected.
  • To keep in track with your assigned resources, next to the specific task bar there is information about all people who work on that particular task.
  • Get more information about your task directly in the Gantt chart. Click on the specific task bar in the Gantt chart and information about: Task name; Start and End date, task duration and % completed are accessible for that specific task.
  • You want to resize the Gantt chart? We provide an option for left pane resizing.

2.  Task progress and status bar!

You are a project manger? You want to control your project progress? Of course you do and we will help you to do that! We have added the task progress and status bar in the task sheet view that will notify you on time about the tasks’ status and will show whether the task is late according to your scheduling. It is much more user-friendly and fun to follow up the task status in different colors, each color referring to whether the task is on time, late, or critically late.

This is a very useful for the team members also. The % completed of the tasks, now presented within the progress bar, indicates to the user that an actual work is occurring on the task and how much work has been finished.

Well, we have finished our work, successfully I hope, and now it’s your turn. We expect anything in terms of: “I do/don’t like it; It’s very useful; It’s great; You’ve missed….; You need to improve…..” etc etc etc.  Your feedback is a bless for us.

Pay attention, next news coming extremely soon…
